360 vitual tour of villa Kipseli. This is a glorious, light, spacious and relaxed house with all the comfort we have come to expect from the beautiful houses in the north east of the island. In a fabulous position above Avlaki beach, this is the most beautiful family house – designed by a Norman Foster- trained architect and very comfortable. Just a short walk down to the beach, this is a glorious villa which ticks all the boxes.
From the moment we arrived we knew this was a special place, the beautiful double-heighted sitting room lead us out onto the lovely shady terrace which has views across Kaparelli island and over to Albania. Just lovely! We could have sat on that terrace all evening looking at the stunning view.
The owners have been so careful with the colours (painting and re painting the shutters until even they achieved the exact hue they were after) – they have chosen a palette of relaxing blues and greens. The large bedrooms are punctuated with bright colours and the luxurious bathrooms are oozing with fluffy towels and delicious lotions and potions.
Their attention to detail is noticeable – beautiful walk-in showers in white bathrooms which are all en suite to large bedrooms with large windows looking down to the sea. The olive grove in front of the house creates a wonderful foreground – leaves shimmering in silver away into the distance.
This house is well thought out for children – a stair gate at the top of the stairs in the sitting room ensure safety is at the fore front. The pool area – although beautiful now – is being made bigger for 2012. An olive tree will sit (almost) in the middle of the pool which will create a very original and huge pool area, perfect for a large group.
With the lovely Lucy, who will be housekeeping for 2012, Kipseli House is a destination worthy of kings and princes. Or just us! We would love to bring our families to this heavenly spot in the olive groves.
